Visits:
- Fern Creek Sophomores Darrius Washington and Jaden Rogers attended the Western Kentucky game last Sunday on an unofficial visit. They also attended a Northern Kentucky game in recent weeks.
- Another 2021 class member, Beechwood’s Scotty Draud attended the Cincinnati/UCLA game on Wednesday as a guest of the Bearcats. Scotty also attended a Northern Kentucky game recently and has been invited to a game by Xavier.
- Yet another Sophomore, Trey James of Sheldon Clark went to the Indiana/Louisville game at Assembly Hall in Bloomington.
Offers:
- Kent State made their way around the state last week recruiting before they played Louisville at the Yum Center. After an early morning workout, the Golden Flashes staff offered scholarships to Collins’ Junior guards Marcellus Vail and Dayvion McKnight. That is Vail’s second offer (Kentucky State has offered) and McKnight’s fourth (Winthrop, Western Kentucky and Cleveland State have offered).
- Mayfield Senior guard Connor Guthrie has received his first offer from Bethel University. Guthrie should be a hot name this spring with small schools.
- Taylor County’s Trevon Smith has been racking up offers in recent weeks. Smith has received 6 different junior college scholarship offers in the last two weeks.
- Ballard shooting guard Walter Johnson received his first offer from Moberly College. Moberly is a Junior College that has recruited Kentucky hard in recent seasons.
- Washington County Senior guard Cameron Willis has received his first offer from Tusculum College. Tusculum is coached by former Morehead State assistant coach JT Burton.
- Late last month Asbury offered Carter Baughman of Mercer County and Trey Meister of Scott High School. Both have multiple small school offers and should be Spring signees.
- Campbellsville PG Malachi Corley got his first basketball offer from Campbellsville University after getting an offer in football from Eastern Kentucky a day before.
Commitment:
- Former North Bullitt guard Corey Girton committed to Xavier University as a walk-on next season. Girton is not playing this season after multiple injuries kept him from being able to practice or play.
