Recruiting Report: Shon Robinson (2020)
Eduprize (AZ) power forward Shon Robinson is a big man that moved to Arizona after his freshman season at Morgan Park. Recently Robinson and his Eduprize High School squad played a pair of games in Chicago against Curie and at the Team Rose Shootout.
The top 100 national recruit has changed in many ways since we saw him a couple springs ago. First thing we noticed was how much his body has gotten stronger. He has filled out his upper body. Got off to a slow start missing a few jumpers and dunks. As the game went on he showed off his face up shot drilling a pair of threes from the wings. He also had a big alley-oop slam. Shot blocking presence. Finished with 12 points.
We caught up with Robinson to discuss playing back at home.
“It is nice. I feel great being back home. I love playing in that environment. It is just great to be back.”
Robinson broke down the areas he has grown as a player since we last saw him.
“I have been getting a lot stronger and have improved my post game. I can shoot better. My dribbling and overall game has gotten much better.”
How has the experience been in Arizona?
“It has been great. It is nice to be out there and has given me a chance to develop.”
Robinson discussed the latest with his recruitment telling us the schools that are making him feel like a priority.
“Ole Miss, Arizona, and USC.”
Robinson went in depth on each program.
Ole Miss
“I like how coach runs his team. I like their overall program.”
Arizona
“With U of A they are nice too. I like how they use their bigs. They put their bigs in a good environment to produce.”
USC
“They have a good recruiting class coming in. They have been talking to me about bringing in a good class in my grade too.”
Wisconsin is another school in heavy pursuit and he has already visited Madison officially.
“I like how they use their bigs too. They have stretch fours. All their bigs are like me.”
