On Tuesday night Gonzaga found themselves in a close game with Archbishop Carroll, but it was Gill that led the charge for the Eagles.
“We wanted to come out and execute and do the stuff the right way. In the beginning of the game we kind of did that but towards the middle of the game we kind of started to get a little shelfish but in the 4th quarter we pulled it all together and got the win.”
Gill finished with 13 points and came up huge in the 2nd half after being held scoreless in the 1st half, “In the first half I picked up two quick fouls, I had an early technical foul, I apologized to my teammates but what I did to get going was driving to the basket which is what I do best and I got a lot of success with that.”
He talked in detail about his role with this team, “My role is to be the leader and be a good captain, I need to be a vocal leader and just try and lead all the time. When my team is down it is my job to come and pick them up and stuff like that.”
All of what he said was on full display against Carroll and has caught plenty of colleges attention especially two schools that are showing him the most interest and he went in detail about both of them.
St Bonaventure: “It is a good school, I really like the pitch they have for me, they said I can come in and play the combo guard and they have a couple good guards so it would be a good fit.”
Robert Morris: “It is a good family environment, I know the whole coaching staff and it is a good school.”
When asked about when he might want to make a decision he said, “Maybe towards the end of the season, I want to focus on finishing the season first.”
