Jackson-Davis Stays Home
While things had been kind of all over the map of late, Center Grove’s Trayce Jackson-Davis comes off the board finally to stay home and attend Indiana. Many predicted this but some hesitancy to commit a few weeks ago drew some questions.
With his decision down to just a trio of UCLA, Michigan State, and Indiana, many in-state, obviously were curious as to when the commitment would come. Now, he joins Cathedral’s Armaan Franklin as the two Indiana prospects that will be playing for the Hoosiers in a year’s time.
McKeeman Pulls Trigger For Cedarville
With many of the top players already off the board, things were really starting to slim out as well for those DII targets. But now, another one is off the board as Fort Wayne Carroll (IN) point guard Dan McKeeman has committed to Cedarville.
Picking Cedarville is a solid fit for the high-end shooter. Cedarville has done well with some Indiana commits as or recently and now pulls in another one from the Fort Wayne area. McKeeman picked them over offers from Grace, Huntington, Saint Francis, Spring Arbor, Hillsdale, and Malone
It’s a league and a level that will be suitable for Dan to be able to excel. His shooting ability and passing really are the keys to his game and those should really translate to the GMAC.
Quick Hitters:
2019 power forward Zach Rinehart of Avon (IN) picked up an offer from IU-Kokomo. It is his first offer but shouldn’t be the last. He’s still out with an injury but could be back in the next few weeks. Once back, Rinehart is one of the better options for a power forward still remaining and could be in line for DII and NAIA looks.
2019 wing Tewon Kelly of Irvington Prep (IN) picked up an offer from Franklin College. It’s his first offer and might not be the last. He’s not a name many know but showed some real intrigue as a diverse scorer with size. If he can get some schools in to see him, those small school programs will see the promise.
