Dylan West (Hillcrest)
West is a physical four man that has played well early in the season. When it comes to recruiting he said, “North Central and Rust College in Mississippi offered me. I have visited North Central a couple times and like the environment.” Chicago State has also shown a little interest.
Destin Whitaker (Romeoville)
Whitaker is an athletic two guard that can score it in the 2020 class. How is recruiting going? “It is going pretty decent. I have offers from Illinois State, UIC, and DePaul. I went on a visit to Michigan.” In the fall he visited Illinois State and picked up an offer. “I like the people and the coaching staff. I got a good feel for the stadium and people around it.”
Artese Stapleton (Kenwood)
Stapleton is a slick handling lead guard that lives in the lane. His lone offer at this time is from Lewis. He also mentioned, “I got a call from a JUCO in Arizona. Illinois-Springfield is new.”
Elijah Rice (East St. Louis)
Rice is a point guard that has seen his stock rise this season with a strong senior campaign. When it comes to recruiting he said he is hearing from Lincoln Land and Millikin.
Richard Robinson (East St. Louis)
Robinson is a 6’7” post that plays physical around the hoop and can stretch the floor with his shooting. As far as college interest it is Lincoln Land mainly at this point.
Malik Smith (Alton)
This Alton two guard is wired to score from multiple levels. He told PHI that he has been in communication with Elmhurst and Parkland.
Donovan Clay (Alton)
The state’s #37 senior is one of the top junior college targets in the southern Illinois with his size at 6’6”. Three and D wing that has improved game off the bounce. He mentioned he is hearing from a pair of the top JUCO’s in the Midwest in John A Logan and Indian Hills.
CE Talton (Monroe City, MO)
Talton is a smooth combo guard that was great at the Ramey Midwest Showdown Shootout over the weekend. When it comes to college he said, “Emporia State and Northwest recently reached out to me.” Quincy has offered him, but he said he hasn’t heard from them in a while.
Elijah Hicks (Jennings, MO)
Hicks is a power wing that attacks the hoop with brute force. The senior guard told PrepHoops the schools he is hearing from including Lindenwood and UMSL. He hasn’t taken any visits yet.
Isaiah Ervin (Hazelwood Central, MO)
Ervin transferred to Hazelwood Central from across the river in Illinois and has posted big numbers as a senior. He told us he is in communication with several schools including “UMSL, Maryville, SIU-Edwardsville, SEMO, and some more.”
