Caleb Donaldson (Bloomington – 2019)
Donaldson is a 6’5” two guard that impressed at the Chicago Elite Classic with his versatility. He said on the recruiting front he is talking to D2 programs St. Cloud State and Emporia State.
Keyyaun Batchman (Chaminade, MO – 2019)
We are big fans of this St. Louis wing. He played well again when we saw him at CEC. When it comes to his recruitment he said, “I have three offers from Maryville, University of Illinois Springfield, and Drury.” He took a visit already to Drury. “It was a great experience. It was my first official visit. It was a great experience and they showed a lot of love.” He plans on taking official visits to those other two schools that have offered at some point.
Traevon Brown (West Aurora – 2019)
The senior point guard from West Aurora is a speedy lead guard that has range on his shot. He told us, “Lewis is talking to me. A couple NAIA schools in Judson and Benedictine.” He took a visit already to Judson.
Keshawn Williams (Bloom – 2020)
Williams is an athletic two guard that can really score it. On the recruiting front he said, “I am talking to Colorado, Colorado State, and UAB. Those are the main ones. I am taking officials to Colorado and Colorado State in February.” He has already been to Colorado and Colorado State on unofficials.
Martice Mitchell (Bloom – 2020)
Mitchell is one of the top big men in the state’s junior class. He said has heard from Illinois. Nebraska is recruiting him. Wisconsin has sent him letters. St. Louis and UW-Milwaukee have already extended him scholarship offers.
Dante Maddox (Bloom – 2020)
Maddox is a scoring two guard that had a nice showing at the Chicago Elite Classic. “Recently I talked to Colorado State and Northern Kentucky. I have talked to the local schools. I talked to Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Green Bay.” He talked about his Northern Kentucky visit in the fall. “I liked the family culture that they have. I liked how they got up on defense and let their players go from the guard position. That is somewhere I could see myself going.” His lone offer at this time is from Southern Illinois. “I like SIU. I like the coaches there. They communicate with me. They talked to me a lot in the summer. I enjoyed the visit and it was more than I even expected.”
Donovan Newby (Bloom – 2020)
Newby is a hard-nosed point guard that gets others involved and is a solid scorer himself. He broke down the latest with recruiting. “Right now DePaul, Toledo, Tulsa, and Miami (OH) are talking to me.” He says Tulsa and Toledo are really making him feel like a priority. On Tulsa he said, “It is a big stage. The coach text me saying keep working hard and keep being positive.” What about Toledo? “I love the way they play. They play fast paced. If you can shoot real good that is a system for you. I like how they came to me about my academics.”
Jaheim Holden (Evanston – 2019)
Holden is a quick twitched senior point guard that is primed for a big year. When it comes to recruiting he said “I got a text from Santa Clara. I have been talking to Coach Pickens from SEMO. Illinois-Springfield has been talking to me along with several JUCO’s.”
Ryan Bost (Evanston – 2019)
Bost is a smaller energy scoring guard that had a big showing at the Chicago Elite Classic. On the recruiting front he said, “It is pretty dry right now. I don’t have any offers. No schools talking to me at this point.” Would be worth consideration for D3 and NAIA schools.
Rashaun Agee (Bogan – 2019)
Agee is the top uncommitted post in the senior class with his size, mobility, and the way he rebounds the ball. “It is going well. I have been getting a couple new schools. Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Northern Illinois, Detroit, and Chicago State have offered.” What schools is he talking to that have not offered to this point? “Wyoming and Western Michigan.” He has only visited Northern Illinois to date.
Fillip Bulatovic (Maine South – 2019)
Bulatovic is a sleeper in the senior class. The 6’4” wing has some athletic pop and can score from multiple levels. He updated us on the latest “I have heard from Minnesota State-Moorhead, Sioux Falls, and a little from Quincy. The main D3 I am talking to is Wisconsin-Platteville and Benedictine. I also visited Dominican. I would like to visit Benedictine and University of Missouri-St. Louis soon.”
