Continue ReadingDavid Jabiro is a junior guard at Birmingham Brother Rice. Despite being one of Michigan’s many hidden gems, he has put the Catholic League on notice. He was awarded All-League honors as a sophomore and is currently averaging 15 PPG, 5 RPG, and 4 APG. Jabiro is a very crafty ball handler. He has shown that he can get his shot off off the dribble or catch and shoot. The junior guard also does a strong job at getting to the basket and finishing with contact. Although he did not play travel ball last spring or summer he plans on playing after the high school season. Learn more about the stock-rising guard below:
Question: What are the biggest strengths of your game?
David Jabiro: My biggest strengths are my shooting ability, ball handling, and my quickness.
Question: What do you need to improve on the most to take your game to the next level?
David Jabiro: I need to keep working on Off-ball defense.
Question: What sets you apart from your competitors?
David Jabiro: My love for the game, along with my work ethic and commitment.
Question: What have you most enjoyed about your junior campaign? Why?
David Jabiro: I have enjoyed Working in the lab day after day with the team.
Question: What game are you most looking forward to?
David Jabiro: I look forward to all games the same, none in particular.
Question: Have you been recruited by any colleges yet?
David Jabiro: I’ve received interest from small schools. No offers yet.
Question: What is your favorite class in school?
David Jabiro: English.
Question: What do you want to major in?
David Jabiro: Business.
Question: What is a short term goal you have?
David Jabiro: I want to play college basketball.
Question: What is a long term goal you have?
David Jabiro: Not sure yet but possibly something in the business industry.
Question: Which college or NBA player do you consider your game most similar to Why?
David Jabiro: Damian Lillard, because of the way he can shoot, his quickness and his playmaking ability.
