The do-it-all prospect helps out in a lot of different ways out on the court, it’s diverse skill-set, paired with his length, that makes him an intriguing prospect in Utah.
“I feel like I can step in at several different positions. I can handle the ball at the top of a press, and be able to find open guys. I can spread the floor and hit open shots. I can rebound the ball well and get going in transition,” said Bush.
It’s the 6-foot-7 wingspan that really makes him impactful.
“I just feel like if I get my hands up it kind of intimidates them. And it helps me get into passing lanes and grab rebounds, stuff like that,” said Bush.
Last season, with Copper Hills, Bush was the sixth-man. This season, he’s making a bigger impact as a starter for the Grizzlies.
“I have a lot bigger role now, I’m a senior captain, and I need to help lead the younger players, said Bush. “And I play a lot of minutes and can fit in a lot of places; I have a versatile role.”
Although he played played in a couple tournaments with Utah Basketball Club 17U this past spring, Bush is still flying under the radar recruitment-wise. He says he’s seen no recruitment come in so far.
“I’m interested in playing somewhere, if I can find somewhere to play,” said Bush. “I want to start talking to colleges.”
