In addition to Ethan Wilson in the Osbourn Park backcourt, the Yellow Jackets have Kylique Walker. A senior, Walker stands at 6-foot-4 and has been an important piece for the team thus far.
The left-handed Walker can play above the rim and can convert jump shots as well. This year, he has primarily taken on the point guard responsibilities, but it has not limited his ability to put the ball in the basket. Walker has averaged around 19 points a game through the first month of the season.
Walker is quite creative around the basket, being able to finish with both hands fluidly, and avoiding defenders by soaring to the other side of the cylinder.

It should be noted that the rising senior doesn’t only score. He is a tenacious rebounder, grabbing over 10 per game, and gets everyone involved with his passing ability. If he can continue to showcase his all-around capabilities, he will have the chance to improve a college roster next year at either the point guard or shooting guard position.
However, Walker is a bit of a late bloomer when it comes to the recruiting scene. He has not heard from college coaches yet, but wouldn’t be surprised if that changes in the near future.
As the season moves on, Walker mentioned he is looking to be more active on defense. He already moves very well laterally, but would like to become more of a rim protector and outside stopper, seeing the steals and blocks increase.
Osbourn Park stands at 3-5 and will re-take the court on Monday, December 17 when it travels to Forest Park. The tip is set for 7:30 p.m.
