Right now Savage is listed at 6’4 and is currently slotted at number 3 in our Maryland/DC 2021 Rankings. I was able to see him twice this week and he provides a great spark off the bench where he is very energetic, talks a lot on defense, tries to get his teammates involved in the game and rebounds on both ends on the floor.
He was able to catch up with us about his experience with Team Takeover this summer, “My summer went good, finished up in Orlando with Team Takeover 15u, I learned a lot and played hard so it was a good summer. It was fun playing with that group of guys and just getting better everyday in practice and taking what I learned this summer and translating that to the high school season.”
Right now Savage’s role is coming off the bench and he talked about that, “my coach always talks about being ready, rebounding, playing well on the defensive end and then lead that onto the offensive end.”
He has some big goals that he would like to accomplish to this year, “obviously make it to American for the WCAC tournament, winning the WCAC Championship and just keep getting better with my guys.”
Right now he currently holds three offers from George Washington, Towson and Stony Brook and broke down those schools for us.
George Washington: “It is a good school, I went on a visit not too long ago and that was when they first offered me and they just told me that I would fit in well and fit a long with the program and fit in well with what they are trying to build.”
Towson: “I went out there with my teammate Ishmael Leggett, he already had the Towson offer but then I was fortunate to get one on my visit.”
Stony Brook: “That was my first offer going into 10th grade, I really like the program there and I know a bunch of those guys.”
He also mentioned that he is gaining interest from “Temple and Delaware.”
