Player of the Week: Week 4
DeSales’ Keegan Brewer ran away with the Player of the Week honors in Week 3 with over 85% of the total votes. Here’s the latest batch of nominees after a week full of huge individual performances and big team wins.
- Carroll County’s Wyatt Supplee – The Junior point guard led his team to a 3-1 record in 4 games while averaging 31.5 points and 5.5 assists per game in the 4 contests. Wyatt had a career high 47 points in a win against Trimble County.
- Spencer County’s Jacob Seawright – The Senior had 3 strong showings in the King of the Bluegrass this week. The Bears’ leader scored 31 against Ballard, 24 against Madison Central and 26 against South Miami.
- Garrard County’s Brayden Sebastian – The Junior wing scored 29 points and grabbed 10 rebounds against Southwestern Monday then followed that up on Wednesday with a career high 55 points and 17 rebounds in a win at Augusta.
- Adair County’s Anthony Payne – The Senior led the Indians to a 3-0 week and Championship at the KME Classic at Trigg County. In 3 games, Payne averaged 26.3 points, 5 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game while shooting 77% from the field, 67% from 3 and 90% from the free throw line.
- Ballard’s Walter Johnson Jr. – Johnson made the all tournament team at the King of the Bluegrass after going for 21/11/5 against Spencer County, 24/7/2 against Walton-Verona (both wins), 25 points against South Shore (a loss) and 9/4/4 against Trinity (a win) as Ballard claimed third place at the KOB.
- Collins’ Dayvion McKnight – The Junior point guard had 23/13/7 against Male, 15/11/6 against Madisonville-North Hopkins, 26/11/3 against Trinity (all wins) and 19/8/7 against South Shore in the Championship game of the King of the Bluegrass and was named to the All Tournament team.
