Player Of The Week: Week 3 Florida
Week 3 is nearly over and with that, we need to take a look at our four nominees for Player Of The Week.
Here are the nominees.
ICYMI:
Week 1 winner (2019 Lake Mary Prep G Michael Gavin)
Week 2 winner (2020 Cooper City G Dallas Graziani)
Marcus Niblack (Wildwood)
Both wins this week for Wildwood came by one point and 2020 guard Marcus Niblack was a huge part of the victories. The 6’2″ junior had 22 points in a 61-60 win over Central Florida Christian on Tuesday and then followed that up with 37 points in a 90-89 win over Eustis on Thursday. Niblack has been a leader for Wildwood for quite a while but now he’s really taking over.
Niven Glover (Oak Ridge)
Niven Glover was a viral sensation this week for his 360 in-game dunk against Cypress Creek (VIDEO). The 2019 guard had a big scoring output for Oak Ridge. Just this week, Glover had 20 points in against Olympia, 33 points against Jones, 25 points against Cypress Creek and 35 points against Dr. Phillips, all wins. Glover is scoring at a high clip for the athletic Pioneers.
Devin Carter (Doral)
It has been an impressive start to the new season for 2020 Doral guard Devin Carter. The defending Class 7A state champions are 9-0. Carter is averaging 23.2 PPG and is fresh off a 37-point outing in a win over Miami Springs. He’s an emerging young talent.
Jordan Sears (Mainland)
In a Class 7A-District 5 clash on Friday night, 2020 Mainland guard Jordan Sears had himself a night with a 37-point performance in a 94-88 win. The junior also had 11 points in a win over Father Lopez on Wednesday. Sears is in for a big season at a Mainland program that is built for a deep 7A run.
