Unknowns and Undervalued

The Pepsi Carolina Classic got started yesterday with a new format and a new location. The Pepsi Carolina is now just 8 teams and will be played at the Florence Center this season. Lets take a look at the opening round games from the Florence Center. 


Hartsville HS 62  South Florence HS 50 

The defending champions Red Foxes had to rallied from behind to win this game. University of South Carolina Gamecock signee Trae Hannibal led the way with 23 points. Hannibal recently went over 1,000 career points. Cesare Edwards added 12 points in the win. 


Justice Jackson had 21 points and Brian Sparks added 8 points in the loss for the Bruins. The Bruins fall to (3-7) on the season. 


Darlington HS 66  Marion HS 56

Kenynon Scott


The Falcons moved to (12-1) and a date in the semifinals vs arch rival Hartville HS. The Falcons were led in scoring by Kenynon Scott with 25 points, Tyshaun Johnson 14 points and Jamean Muldrow 10 points. 


TJ Sanders scored 15 points and Mac Washington added 10 points in the loss for the Swamp
