The event kicked off Friday November 30th and ends on Saturday December 1st. Here are a list of Prospects who stood out in Day 1 of the event. I spent the entire day at Pearland High School.
Jason Williams 5’9 PG / 2019 / Angleton High School.
He is a fast Point with a quick first step. Shoots the deep ball at a very high rate. Scored over bigger defenders from deep. Was shooting 23 foot 3pointers. Has good defensive lateral movement. Shot 8/13 from behind the arc in two games, shooting .615 percent from deep. Scored 21 and 18 giving him a 19.5 points per game average.
Anthony Vigers 6’5 PF / 2020 / Cypress Park High School.
He has a long wingspan and gets after it defensively. Very active on the boards, he averaged 10.5 rebounds over the two games. He was also altering opponents shots. He runs the floor very well. He gets after loose balls and plays physical.
Patrick ‘PJ’ Neal 6’1 PG / 2021 / Houston Heights High School.
This young floor general does a little bit of everything for his team. He’s a physical Point with a solid build for his age. Has great floor awareness. Averaged 6 assist over the two games. He plays solid on ball defense and gets after it on the boards. He grabbed 7.5 rebounds. Attacks the lane. Shots the ball from deep also. Finished with a 15 points per game average.
Tyler Simon 6’2 SG / 2021 / Houston Heights High School.
Can score the ball from all 3 levels. Has a nice bounce, threw down a one handed flush as a defender tried to block it. Has a really nice feel for the game. After two games has a 11 point average.
Tim Eldridge 6’2 PG / 2019 / Klein Oak High School.
Tim is a fast point guard. Has an extremely good first step which gives him a good separation. It also allows him to rise up from anywhere on the court at anytime to knock down a jumper. He was shifting defenders in both games. He finished with 25 and 17 over the two games. Giving him an 21 point per game average.
Dennis Sharp 6’1 PG / 2019 / Houston Lamar High School.
This prospect has been flying under the radar. Very vocal, makes sure everyone is in the right spots offensively before he runs the play. Very poised point who gets his teammates involved. Averaged 5.5 assist for the two games. He also guards the best player on the other side of the ball. He can score from all 3 levels at a high rate. He finished with 24 and 21 giving him an average of 22.5 points per game
Yves Bankita 6’9 C / 2019 / Houston Lamar High School.
Yves is very active on the glass grabbing over 13 rebounds in both games. Long arm prospect that can almost grab the rim standing while standing on the floor. Has good post control. He is patient in the post with the ball in his hands. Nice footwork. He averaged 9 points for the two games.
Sir Issac Herron 6’7 CF / 2021 / Houston Lamar High School.
Is a prospect who plays above the rim. Threw down two dunks a game. Has a nice handle on the ball. Good footwork in the post. Can knock down the long ball. Has a long wingspan which allows him to be a problem defensively. Runs the floor very well.
Javonne Lowery 6’4 WG / 2019 / Pearland High School.
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette signee. Has an extremely high motor and gets after it defensively. Plays the passing lanes great. Scored the ball from all 3 levels on the floor. Has a nice second bounce off the ground. Played really solid in the first two games averaging 9 points per game.
Jesse Zarzuela 6’3 PG / 2019 / Spring Woods High School.
He is a University of Texas at El Paso signee. Scores the ball at a high rate from all 3 levels of the floor. Has a nice dribble set up package. Uses triple threat and quick first step to create separation. He scored 31 points in both games of Day 1.
Darian Gibson 6’4 SG / 2019 / Spring Woods High School.
Shot the ball at a high percentage from behind the arc. He is starting to put the ball on the floor and utilizing his mid-range game. Plays with a good motor. He also showcased his floor IQ by making some tough passes.
Nico Hardin 6’7 PF / 2019 / Spring Woods High School.
Plays with a high motor. He cleans the glass and is a real presence in the paint defensively. He’s physical, scrappy, and very vocal on the floor. He is the glue guy and would be a great fit D2/D3 brought in 9 rebounds and scored 10 points per game.
