The Keenan HS Raiders stayed perfect (14-0) after beating Myrtle Beach HS in the championship game 77-65. The Raiders went (4-0) on the weekend with victories over Conway HS, Andrews HS, Cheraw HS and Myrtle Beach HS.
Raekwon Horton (2020) was named MVP of the Panther Classic after the Keenan HS Raiders defeated Myrtle Beach HS 77-65. The Raiders went (4-0) during the classic.
Head Coach Zam Fredrick has guided the Calhoun County HS Saints for 29 years and to 9 state championships. Fredrick has a career record of (705-90) at Calhoun County HS. The Saints finished the Panther Classic at (2-1). The Saints now are (9-3) on the season after defeating North Myrtle Beach and Conway HS. The Saints suffered a first round defeat to Cheraw 77-72 in 2 overtimes.
Jalen Coit
Jalen Coit (2020) just finished the football season with 826 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. Coit has received several scholarship offers on the gridiron. Coit is averaging 15.7 ppg after the Panther Classic. Coit has scored 1,153 career points for the Braves.
The Keenan HS Raiders our ranked ranked #1 in the latest 3A Poll by the SCBCA. The Raiders have several quality wins over North Augusta HS (2 times), Lower Richland HS (2 times) and Orangeburg-Wilkinson HS (2 times). The Raiders our currently 14-0 on the season. Head Coach Zach Norris and the Raiders defeated Myrtle Beach HS in the Championship Game on Saturday night to win the Panther Classic.
Head Coach Rob Mammes returned to Carolina Forest HS as the new man in charge at Cheraw HS. Mammes a former assistant coach for the Panthers for past several seasons finished (2-1) in the event and lost to eventual champion Keenan HS.
Carolina Forest HS played 4 games in the Panther Classic and finished (2-2). The Panthers played in the consolation bracket to fill out the bracket with the odd number of teams in the event at 13. The Panthers played Franklin County HS (GA), Covington HS (TN), North Myrtle Beach HS and Andrews HS. The Panthers have now played the North Myrtle Beach HS Chiefs 3 times this season. The Panthers won the season series 2-1 but lost on Saturday 46-44.
