The host Bruins had 7 games at Orangeburg-Wilkinson HS today and in my mind the most talented field from top to bottom in many years. Lets take a look at some of the 2021 Top Performers from here today.
John Paul White – Orangeburg-Wilkinson HS
White 6’1 guard plays inside linebacker for the Bruins. White brings that toughness to the hardwood. White rebounds the ball well on both ends of the floor for his size. White hit a few elbow jumpers on the day. White isn’t afraid to draw up contact or take a charge.
Jabarie Perry – Calhoun County HS (St Matthews)
Perry 6’6 strictly likes to play on the perimeter. Perry lacks any kind of contact and must get stronger. Perry can shoot the perimeter jumper and handle the ball in the open floor. Perry has a long and wiry frame. Perry generally looks to set up shop in the corners.
Corey Graham – Manning HS (pictured on front)
Graham is a absolute MAN CHILD at times on the floor. Prep Hoops first saw Graham a few years back at middle school level. Graham a football player played wide receiver for the Monarchs but could be a future quarterback. Graham 6’3 is physically gifted already for his age and sees the floor great with his court vision. Graham is averaging 12.8 ppg and 5.3 rebounds this season for the Monarchs.
Rashard Baker – Ridgeland-Hardeeville HS
Baker a left-handed point guard for the Jaguars runs the show. Baker plays with a fearless attitude on the floor Baker 5’10 is very vocal with his teammates and communicates well for a young age. Baker uses the bounce pass a lot and for sure wants to push tempo as much as possible.
Christian Taylor – Timmonsville HS
Taylor 6’1 guard is very quick to the basket with his ability to slash. Taylor passed up a few perimeter jumpers to attack the glass. Taylor really plays the game hard and every possession while on the floor. Taylor never turns off his motor.
