North Dakota Class A Games to Watch
The season is early, but teams are already starting to separate themselves as far as contenders go. Here are some games to check out this week in Class A
Jamestown vs. Bismarck Legacy – Tuesday, Dec. 11
It’s early, it’s early, but Jamestown and Bismarck Legacy are both undefeated through two weeks of the season. Jamestown’s getting great play from the usual suspects in Boden Skunberg and Mason Walters while Bismarck Legacy has beaten up on a few teams considered towards the bottom tier in Class A. Can the Sabers make a statement and earn a win against a good Jamestown team Tuesday?
Fargo Davies vs. Grand Forks Red River – Tuesday, Dec. 11
Davies thus far looks very deserving of the top ranking in Class A as the Eagles have dominated in all three games. Grand Forks Red River took a couple tough losses to the West Fargo schools last week but are still capable of contending for a top-four spot in the EDC. Can the Roughriders compete in this one? Davies at home probably wins, but Red River certainly has the talent to make it a contest.
West Fargo Sheyenne at Fargo Shanley – Friday, Dec. 14
This might be the best game of the week as West Fargo Sheyenne is undefeated with good wins over Mandan and Red River while Shanley’s 2-1, sporting a win against Bismarck St. Mary’s. There will be a lot of good quality young talent on display in this one. Sheyenne’s got an elite crop of guards led by Christian Kuntz while the Deacons will ride junior guard Talon Hoffer.
