Friday has certainly experienced success. He is ranked as the 4th best player in Michigan by the Detroit Free Press. Last season, Friday led UD Jesuit to a 22-4 record. They won a Catholic League title, District Championship, and Regional Championship. UD Jesuit made it to the quarterfinals where they lost to Warren De La Salle. Friday averaged 15ppg, 6.8rpg, and 4.7apg. He shot 64% from the field.
Daniel Friday was a highly recruited player. He received offers from programs like Marist, Milwaukee, and Buffalo. Friday ended up committing to Brown. He will be a nightmare for opponents in the Ivy League for years to come.
Friday is a uniquely talented basketball player. He is a true team player who gives his teammates praise and credit before speaking about his own accomplishments. Friday is a clutch player who plays his best during important minutes of a game. He is an aggressive athlete who is always in attack mode. Friday does it all, and does it well. He can play anywhere on the court including running the point and posting up in the paint. This makes him a matchup nightmare. Friday is a big strong kid who can flat out bully opponents on the perimeter and bang in the paint if needed. He can take smaller players into the paint and pull bigs away from the bucket and beat them on the perimeter.
Daniel Friday is consistent in all aspects of the game. On offense, he has an extraordinarily high shooting percentage. Defensively, he may be the best in Michigan. Friday is a lockdown defender who can guard multiple positions. He is a dedicated defender who never takes a possession off.
Daniel Friday has earned all of his success. He has earned the right to call himself a candidate for Michigan’s Mr. Basketball.
