Caleb Love 6’3″ CBC (’20) – With coaches from Mizzou, Saint Louis University and Indiana in the house, the smooth shooting guard scored an easy 15 points to lead a balanced effort in a lopsided victory over Hazelwood East. Love can score from all kinds of different angles when he gets to the rim and his mid-range game is also on point. He will also give you the obligatory transition dunk.
Malek Davis 5’10” Cardinal Ritter (’19) – The Drury signee scored a game-high 18 points in the Lions’ come-from-behind victory over Hazelwood Central. With his team trailing by 10 points at the half, Davis took over in the third quarter with 10 points on a variety of mid-range jumpers and step-back 3-pointers. He also played his normal tenacious on-ball defense, which created a lot of havoc.
Isaiah Ervin 6’2″ Hazelwood Central (19) – The smooth shooting guard scored 18 points for the Hawks in the loss to Ritter. He is tough to defend because he has nice handles and can create offense to score from all three levels. He is also efficient as he is not a high volume shooter. He will pick his spots to impact the game offensively when his team needs it.
Tyon Hughes 6’5″ Soldan (’19) – The athletic combo forward scored 14 points and put in the game winner at the buzzer in the Tigers’ 57-55 victory over St. Louis Christian. He is an athletic dynamo who is always running the court and making things happen in transition. He scored on back to back dunks in transition. He is always productive without ever having a play run for him.
Jordan Nesbitt 6’6″ St. Louis Christian (’21) – The versatile wing player scored 17 points in the close loss to Soldan. He is a matchup problem with his big body that can wreak havoc in the low post with his size and touch around the basket. On the perimeter, he can get to the basket with strength plus he has a nice stop and pop jumper from 17 feet to compliment his strong drive game.
