The Farmers of Lewisville defeated Amarillo Tascosa in the championship behind a game-high 19 points from “Diaper Dandy” Keyonte George. Flower Mound came away victorious against John Paul II in the battle for third place. Here are prospects that stood out in my eyes during the two games:
Caleb Lohner / 6’7″ / SF / Flower Mound / 2020
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Lohner did everything I came to expect from him. He knocked down contested threes, rebounded, and in one instance ripped through and attacked off the wing to throw it down in the half court. He is blessed with great size and a college ready frame at the wing spot. I would love for him to take advantage of his gifts by posting up more, fully controlling the glass, and utilizing the in-between game. He is a top notch talent that will be effective at a power five school. He scored 17 points in the Saturday win.
Jeffrey Mills / 6’4″ / SG / Flower Mound / 2020
It was my first time seeing Mills in his prominent offensive role with the Jaguars and he met all my expectations. He is a cerebral guard with a great feel for the game. Mills shoots it well from deep and is always looking to make the right pass. He must improve his dribble, but is definitely a player who will thrive in a system. Mills scored 17 in the third place win.
Kylin Green / 5’11″ / PG / Lewisville / 2021
????Hidden Gem????
The small sophomore guard plays with a big man’s type of motor. He plays on and (mostly) off ball for the Farmers and does the little things to make an impact on the game. Green is an exceptional rebounder at his size. He has a nose for the ball and will score trash buckets off of putbacks. He will have a chance to be special if he can improve his perimeter shooting and overall point guard skills.
