Bryce Griggs • 6’1″ • PG • Fort Bend Hightower • 2022 PHTX 25
The number one ranked hooper in the freshman class left a lot to be desired. He hit couple of threes and finished with 11 points in the win over Prestonwood; but, the majority of his attempts came from behind the arc. There were times when he saw the floor and created good opportunities for his teammates. But there was also times where he was lackadaisical with the rock and settled for long range attempts from deep. Even though I would have liked to see him be more aggressive, it was still good to see the freshman phenom perform up and close.
Chris Harris Jr. • 5’10” • PG • Fort Bend Hightower • 2020
Chris Harris did everything asked of him and more. He hit timely shots and finished strong inside on the offensive end. Defensively, the junior guard had his head on a swivel and was active in the passing lanes. He has a strong body and did not mind doing some dirty work and playing physical. Harris did a great job of letting the game come to him and it resulted in a game-high 20 points in the win.
Chris Felix • 6’4″ • SG • Fort Bend Hightower • 2021 PHTX 50
The sophomore’s length defensively is intriguing. He hit a couple of shots off the catch from long distance. Felix was also efficient scoring inside. He has a chance to be a productive two-way swingman. He will continue to improve as he adds strength to his lanky frame. Felix scored 17 points in Hightower’s Thursday afternoon victory.
Samuell Williamson • 6’7″ • SF • Rockwall • 2019 PHTX 200
Williamson continues to make his case for the title as the number one senior in the state. The Louisville signee dropped an easy thirty ball in an afternoon blowout win. He simply deserves a fifth star and needs to be heavily considered for a burger boy slot.
Isaiah Lewis • 6’6″ • SF • Frisco Lone Star • 2019 PHTX 200
Lewis is steadily turning potential into production. The Northern Arizona commit has added muscle and is more confident than ever in his offensive abilities. He is athletic and will slash to score inside through contact. Lewis will be a solid versatile option at the next level because of his desire to work on all facets of his game. The senior forward scored a game-high 22 points in a close win vs. Bryan Rudder.
