Favorites to Win
We could very well have a preview of a 3A matchup deep in the state tournament in March as East St. Louis and Springfield Southeast will most likely meet up in the semifinals. The winner will most likely take on Collinsville in the title game. We are going to go with East St. Louis to take home the championship. We have seen them twice this season and they are very impressive. Led by SLU commit Terrence Hargrove they have senior depth and a pair of high ceiling juniors in Armond Williams and Lashawn Johnson. Springfield Southeast’s point guard and Chicago State commit Terrion Murdix as well as Ray’Sean Taylor of Collinsville both have what it takes to lead their team to the title.
