He would go on to finish with 24 points in the matchup, with a good portion of his offense coming in the 2nd half of the game. JUCO programs should be keeping a close eye on him.
Southern Lee HS 2019 Guard Khalil Ridges: He hit the ground running in this game, the first quarter basically belonged to him as he scored the ball at a high level. Although his scoring didn’t remain at this level throughout the entire night, his activity level was always high especially on the defensive end of the floor.
Terry Sanford 2019 Guard Dante Bowlding: A multisport athlete that was a part of the Terry Sanford football team that made a deep playoff run is back. He logged some major minutes for the Bulldogs last season and is a player that brings some experience to a team that is pretty young. Does a nice job of handling defensive pressure while also getting the team into their sets.
Jack Britt HS 2019 Guard Brandon Hayden: The Holiday Classic served as a coming out party for Hayden as he put together some big time performances throughout. The Bucs would fall to Southern Lee in the Semis, but bounced back for a win in the third place game. Hayden has good height for a PG and the ability to score it at a nice level, he is another player that JC programs should be watching closely.
Pine Forest HS 2019 Guard Adrian Elliot: He battled through foul trouble basically all night long but showed some flashes of what he does best. Using his speed to get up and down the court, his upper body strength to get in the paint and be physical with opponents when he is defending.
Jack Britt HS 2019 Forward Calvin Washington: He’s had a few off games this season but we have no doubt that he will bounce back and get back to regular form. He showed some flashes of his old self in their matchup with Southern Lee, including some one dribble pull-ups and plays above the rim.
