PG. Trejuan Holloman vs Kendall Brown. There will be a lot of fans in the stands and what many are coming to see will be Holloman, a player that is likely to be listed among the elite in his class nationally against Brown, a player that ranks between the top 20 and 30 wherever you look in 2021 rankings. Holloman’s combination of skill, feel, and physical ability are well beyond his years. Brown is much taller and longer than Holloman at 6-foot-7. Because of the size difference they may not defend each other but they will run into each other often.
Wing 1. Curtis Jones vs Zach Zebrowski. Jones and Zebrowski have both been three-point weapons so far this season. Both can also handle the ball some. CDH will need a bit more point production from Jones than East Ridge will Zach but overall these are two players that should match-up well. Jones is younger, bigger, and a more explosive playmaker, Zebrowski is more experienced and plays within his role very well.
Wing 2. Jaeden King vs Courtney Brown Jr. Brown and King were teammates with Howard Pulley last year in the spring. Courtney was a starter and earned several scholarship opportunities before choosing Milwaukee. King came off the bench some but then joined the second Pulley 17s team and earned a scholarship with Western Illinois. These are the leading scorers on the team with King scoring 21 a night, King 18 plus a night.
Forward 1. Amari Carter vs Patrick Lynott. Carter is listed as a 6-foot-6 forward and Lynott a 6-foot-2 guard. With East Ridge being so long and big these two many not see much of each other, if they see one another at all. That said, both are worth a mention. Carter is scoring 12 a game and had an excellent showing against JM in the Tip Off Classic. Lynott is scoring six a contest.
Forward 2. Karsten Broadley vs Ben Carlson. Two very different players. Broadley is pretty much a 6-foot-6 face-up power forward with length and a nice stroke. He has been scoring 3-4 times a game for the Raiders. Carlson is much strong, two inches bigger, and more agile. Ben is grabbing 13 rebounds a contest with 12 points a game.
Bench. The Raiders can go to football standout Will Burke off the bench who will be physical at 6-foot-4. Backing up the wing is 6-foot-3 Lucas Ammons supporting in the big court will be 5-foot-9 Zion Guerra. The Raptors are bigger in the starting line-up and bigger off the bench. Senior Alex Larson and sophomore Zac Thomas are valuable frontcourt subs plus Jeziah Cooper can handle the ball some and Brody Kriesel is a 6-foot-3 reserve forward.
