Private school basketball in Texas is different than a lot of private schools in other states around the country because multiple teams in the Texas private high school league usually have multiple prospects on their roster. I saw that firsthand when I took in The Episcopal School of Dallas vs. Southwest Christian. The game was back and forth in the first half which was a surprise to me because ESD were definitely more talented but Point Guard Amiri Crowder from Southwest put on a offensive clinic in the first half to keep his team in reach. Despite Crowders heroic effort it wasn’t enough to beat the talented ESD who looks to have at least 5 potential college prospects.
