This allowed him to not only play more on the wing but also another year of development for him to prepare for the college game. He’s athletic, strong and is rounding out his game, we expect him to finish up this season in a nice way and transition right into spring ball.
Kinston HS Junior Guard Chance Minott: His time has come and he is now one of the key contributors for the success of Kinston HS which is always a high caliber basketball program. The smooth lefty can score the ball, get teammates involved, defend at a solid level and plays the game with intensity. A lot to like about Chance and colleges have begun to notice, should have a very nice remainder of the season as well as spring.
Word of God Christian Senior Wing Max Farthing: What is there not to like about a 6’6 wing that can shoot the ball at a high level with great academics. That is exactly what we have here in Max Farthing, who recently dropped 46 points in a game, he doesn’t have many offers but has been picking up some interest from various schools. If I’m a D1 program that needs a legit shooter, I’m giving Coach Clifton at WOG a call ASAP.
First Flight HS Junior Guard Dylan Blake: He’s been known for his ability to shoot the ball, but recently we got to see first hand that he can do much more than that. He dropped 43 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in a matchup vs Myers Park HS and the majority of points came from inside the paint and the three point line. The progression he is making as a slasher and playmaker are very impressive, keep a close eye on Dylan.
Fayetteville Academy Senior Guard John Michael Wright: He is competing for the top PG spot in the state for the class of 2019 and his résumé so far is pretty impressive. They have played some pretty tough teams so and he has put together impressive performances with multiple 25+ and 30+ point games. He has some MM and LM offers with interest coming from high major programs such as Boston College.
Richlands HS Senior Wing Colin Radcliffe: He has gotten off to a very nice start this season after transferring from Northside to Richlands. Averaging over 22 Points and 5 Rebounds a night, he has helped lead his squad to a 3-3 record and has turned some heads in the process. At about 6’4 with nice athletic ability, he has already has his fair share of highlight plays, he’s one that college should be keeping an eye on throughout.
EE Smith HS Senior Forward Jaylen Siermons: In their matchup with Pine Forest HS last week, he put up a monster stat line of 22 points and 15 rebounds in a overtime win. Siermons is about 6’5, with the ability to knock down midrange shots as well as attack the basket, if he stays locked in and works hard, he has a chance to be a very good prospect.
