While many seniors have made their decisions and signed with a school, there are some valuable prospects still available in the class of 2019.
Here are some of available prospects that would be a great present under the tree for a college coach this Holiday season:
Brian Taylor (6’6″, G/F, DEPSA)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #17
D1’s should get in the chase for Taylor. He’s very athletic and can score in bunches. The best thing is, he’s got a ton of upside. Taylor could really develop into a special player at the next level.
Caleb Bates (6’7″, F, Lake Shore High School)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #21
Bates is simply a beast. He’s a double-double machine that contributes in so many ways. Bates rebounds, scores, defends, and blocks shots. Division 1 coaches should check him out.
Markeith Browning (6’1″, G, Ypsilanti)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #23
Browning is new on the scene in Michigan so its taken a bit for him to get noticed. He’s quietly been in the gym working on his game preparing for this season. Browning is a silky smooth athlete who can create buckets. D1 and D2 coaches are in the mix.
Trevor Boers (6’8″, PF, Capac High School)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #28
Boers is shooting up the prospect ranking lists. He’s a big kid who can play anywhere on the court. He can battle in the paint with Division 1 post prospects and he can spot up from behind the arc and drill a triple. Boers has Division 1 potential and would be a steal for a Division 2 team.
Justin Rukat (6’8″, F, Detroit Catholic Central)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #42
Rukat is big and smooth. He’s a versatile athlete who can defend the perimeter and the paint. Rukat runs the floor well, can finish at the rim, and hit a mid range jumper.
Evan Thomas (6’4″, SG, Okemos)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #45
Thomas is an intriguing prospect. He has the size and basketball IQ needed to be a solid college player. Thomas has a good looking jumper that he can hit from mid range and behind the arc.
DeSean Munson (6’7″, PF, Ann Arbor Skyline)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #58
Munson is a next level athlete. He can run the floor quickly and smoothly. Munson plays above the rim and finishes with authority. He’s an excellent defender who blocks shots and protects the rim.
Deondre Bonaparte (6’2″, CG, Ecorse High School)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #61
Bonaparte is electric. He can attack the rim and finish with either hand. Bonaparte is a 3 level scorer who can hit an off balance mid range jumper and hit a 3 off the catch or the dribble. Bonaparte is a plus in the lockerroom an athlete that people love playing with.
