Class A North Dakota Games to Watch
The Holidays are quickly approaching and with it, tournaments and events. That means a lot of good matchups between a number of quality teams will ensue over the next few weeks. The cream is quickly rising to the top while some teams are still figuring things out.
Here are some games to watch this week:
Mandan vs. Minot – Tuesday, Dec. 18
Two of the challengers for the crown in the WDA face off as undefeated Minot hosts a Mandan team that is yet to find its footing on the season. The Braves have played a very challenging schedule to this point and while it lightens a little after this one, getting a win over the Magicians could be quite the springboard into the holiday season.
Bismarck Century vs. Jamestown – Friday, Dec. 21
Two teams figuring to be in contention in the WDA, Bismarck Century will host Jamestown Friday night. Century’s rebounded nicely from a season-opening loss to Fargo Davies while Jamestown is 4-0 and getting standout performances consistently from its dynamic duo Boden Skunberg and Mason Walters.
West Fargo Sheyenne at West Fargo – Saturday, Dec. 22
It’s always fun when the West Fargo schools face off and this particular matchup is shaping up to feature two of the three or four best teams in the EDC. Sheyenne is undefeated on the season, getting production from a number of talented guards, young and old while the Packers are leaning on a uber-talented frontcourt thus far. Both teams figure to rack up wins over the course of the winter so it’s too early to say there are major postseason ramifications on the line, but bragging rights are nice.
