Championship Saturday Top Performers
The holiday tournaments this year were very competitive. These tournaments are great for high school basketball because it creates marquee player matchups, and it gives lower level teams a shot at the big boys. This article will feature top performers from Saturday’s games.
Trinity Bell (Albertville): The 2021 big was the best player on the floor in the FSB Shootout. Bell finished with 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 blocks Saturday.
Dallas Howell (Enterprise): Howell was unstoppable Saturday. The 2020 forward scored at will against Headland. Howell finished with 40 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
Tre Roberson (Thompson): Roberson is starting to round into basketball form. After a successful football season, the dual athlete finished with 22 points in the team’s win over Mortimer Jordan.
Duke Miles (Lee-Montgomery): The 2020 point guard showed out against a solid Leflore team. Miles finished with 20 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals.
BJ Comer (PCA): Comer was consistent all tournament. He finished with 11 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.
Trey Johnson (Cornerstone): Trey finished with 23 points and 9 rebounds in the Springville Classic. The 2019 wing has been the go-to player for Cornerstone all season.
Kam Woods (Pinson Valley): Woods continues to lead the way for Pinson Valley. Kam finished with 27 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals in the Dwight Madison Championship.
