On multiple occasions, sixth and seventh men made head-turning plays. These were the players that we were able to watch that not only made head-turning plays, but had great performances.
Trey Nolen Edmond North G
Trey Nolen is a talented point guard with great all-around guard skills. He plays smart on the defensive side of the ball; he is always prepared to swat a ball away from a lazy ball-handler or intercept a loft. Nolen helped the Huskies to their success with his consistent play on the offensive side of the ball, as well, by leading as a floor general when he came in.
Isaiah Milvo Norman G
Milvo is a great passer, good shooter, and is sneaky explosive. He gets rebounds, always hustling about the court to make plays for his team. He is a fast wing with all-around skills that benefit his team and make him a valuable asset. He’s a crafty finisher at the rim as well. His quickness make him extremely difficult to guard without falling into foul trouble.
Gabe Tucci Norman W
Like his teammate, can do a lot of crafty things with the ball. He hones the ball into tight defenses and leads the floor vocally and with his movements. He’s a talented ball-handler who knows his skill-set and doesn’t try to overdo anything. Every movement he makes with the ball has a purpose, a valuable and often overlooked trait. He’s basketball fluid, has a high IQ, and is an all-around floor general.
Wendell Johnson Muskogee C
Wendell Johnson is a great rebounder and powerful scorer. Johnson’s size and aggressiveness create a strong inside presence that makes a difference for the Roughers. On the defensive side of the ball, Johnson can overpower other players and get blocks as well. He is an all-around center off the bench, an uncommon piece that not many teams can boast.
Taylor Williams Edmond Santa Fe G
No bench player had a bigger impact that Taylor Williams. Williams came into the game against Edmond North early in the first quarter and immediately made waves, knocking down three 3-pointers in the first half. He finished with 19 points against the Huskies and was a significant piece for the Wolves in the win and their path to the Championship of the Edmond Open.
