Kevion Steele 2021 Capitol Hill PG
Steele was doing just about everything on Friday against Muskogee. The 5-foot-10 point guard may have been the most underrated player entering the tournament, but silenced all doubt with the way he performed. Steele can shoot, defend, and rebound. Additionally, he was one of the best ball-handlers and finishers that showed up, admittedly, to my surprise. He rarely gives up a senseless turnover and is one of the more efficient players I’ve seen at his height and position.
Xavier Brown Muskogee W
Brown is a talented ball-handler who is always a dangerous threat to score or dish from anywhere about or inside the perimeter. He is one of the smartest players on the floor at all teams and leads his team vocally. He’s an exceptional, high-percentage shooter with college range, which he uses to spread the defense out so he can dish to a teammate.
Landry Harris Edmond North 2021 PG
Landry Harris leads the floor with an almost-scary confidence, especially considering he’s only a sophomore. Harris is a fluid, high IQ type of player who has a knack for finding and exposing holes in opposing defenses with his precise passes.
Donovan Vickers 2021 Santa Fe G
Donovan Vickers plays with a high motor and brings a lot of energy to the floor. He handles the ball with precision and speed. One things that sets him apart is that he almost always runs when he brings the ball up. It’s like a fast break every time he’s on the floor. Because of his speed and intensity alone,
Dalante Shannon 2021 Edmond North G
Dalante Shannon runs the Edmond North back-court with teammate Landry Harris. The sophomore standouts play off of each other well. Shannon specializes in using his athleticism to unclog defenses by driving and playing with tenacity when he penetrates. He is a great drive-and-kick player who can make accurate passes into the shooters’ pocket while on the run.
Parker Clarida Edmond Memorial PG
Parker Clarida came off the bench for Edmond Memorial, but made an impact for the Bulldogs against Northwest Classen on the second day. He’s a sneaky smart passer and has phenomenal court vision. Clarida can also score with the ball in his hands off the dribble. He plays in a manner that makes him just pesky for opposing defenses, with his great ball-handling and off-ball cuts.
