The 2021 class for North Carolina is another strong core group of players from The Hoops State. Here is a look at some of the names that are going to be on college radars and names you will be reading about in newspapers across the state.

Chris Ford

2021 SF Chris Ford (North Mecklenburg HS)-Tough; really strong two-way player; gets it in on defense; one of those players who loves to play defense and it shows; has a college ready frame; may be closer to 6’5; knows how to score and knows his role for the team. A player that will outwork anyone else;

2021 G AJ Smith (Hickory Grove Christian)-One of the best in the class at getting to the rim; really good at finishing in the paint; fundamentally sound both athletically and his mental approach to the game; uses back door cuts; comes off screens; high IQ player; plays with the always guard tough Team Charlotte program.

2021 PG Carter Whitt (Leesville Road)-One of the flashier players around the state; do it all guard that knows how to score from all points on the floor; knows how to run a team; really good court vision and awareness; high IQ guard; rebounds well for position;

Brock Williams

2021 SF Dontrez Styles (Kinston HS)-Able to score from all points on the floor with a 6’7 body; can face up and can put the ball on the floor; really good footwork; mobile; can score from the perimeter and in the paint; may be the top overall prospect in the state for 2021.

2021 PG Brock Williams (Burlington Christian)-Pure scoring PG; does a good job of not turning the ball over; makes the right play; does not force a lot; either is getting fouled or making the shot when attacking the basket; good defender; creates space from defender when attacking or getting open shot;
