This is going to be a heavyweight battle on Tuesday night between two talented programs. Trey Alexander is sure to put on a show to open up his 2017-2018 campaign. The Chargers will have their hands full trying to defend a hungry Millwood squad led by Cameron Bell.
#3: #4 Putnam City North (Class 6A) @ #2 Putnam City West (Class 6A) 2-0 Friday

Del City appears prepared to make the next step with Nate Goodlow and Demontral Crutchfield having great offseasons. They have some young players to keep an eye on as well. Lawton Ike suffered the loss of several key players from a year ago, but seek to make an early stand in Class 5A behind Antonio Gordon. This one will have some fireworks.
#4: #5 Edmond Memorial (Class 6A) @ #7 Southmoore (Class 6A) Tuesday
Southmoore is not starting the year with a whole lot of love from the OSSAA Coaches poll but we have seen them over the offseason and expect a big jump. Jordan Thompson is a lethal shooter from the outside paired with Sam Godwin at the Forward spot. Southmoore will have a tough opponent coming to town in Edmond Memorial. The Bulldogs will feature a great senior class led by Drew Tennial and Jacob Thionnet.
#5: #1 Dale (Class 2A) 3-0 @ #5 Okarche (Class A) 4-1 Tuesday
After a tough year last year Dale is the odds-on favorite to win Class 2A in the preseason polls. Okarche looks to continue their success in Class A. This will be the best small-school matchup in the state this week.
#6:#1 Fort Cobb- Broxton (Class A) 5-1 @ #5 Lookeba-Sickles (Class B) 4-1 Tuesday
Not many have the smaller classes on the radar just yet, but this one will be a great game between two teams going after the Gold Ball. Kellen Hines is the key player to watch. He has led Fort Cobb-Broxton to 3 straight titles and is looking for his fourth.
#7: #5 El Reno (Class 5A) @ Piedmont (Class 5A) Tuesday
Piedmont starts the year unranked but gets a top-five opponent to show what the new look Wildcats can do. El Reno will be led by Dyson Plumley a talented Wing. Not to mention they do a great job of developing a guy or two that breaks out each year. This one should be a fun one Tuesday night.
#8: Bishop Kelly (Class 5A) @ Carl Albert (Class 5A) Thursday
Bishop Kelly is just a few spots outside of the top ten to start the year after their run to the state tournament a year ago. Carl Albert is going to look to show they can replace two high school basketball stars in Mason Harrell and Trey Hopkins. With the dynamic duo gone the Titans will look to several young prospects to step up.
#9: #3 Tulsa Central (Class 4A) 2-0 @ McLain (Class 4A) Tuesday
Tulsa Central has some talent this year and is looking to make an early statement. McLain fell just outside of the top ten in Class 4A rankings. This game gives the opportunity for one of the schools to make their mark early in the year.
