Gathering a list of players and choosing which rank best fits the individual was an extremely difficult challenge, but we do our best to keep them updated every three months. We love finding out about new players, and we’ve done so since our last update. Here is our breakdown piece covering a few of the significant newcomers.
#11 | JAVONTE BROWN | 6’11 C | MOUNT SAINT JOSEPH
Javonte Brown is very young for a junior and should actually still be a sophomore, but it doesn’t take long to see he has very good potential. Colby Giacubeno did a recent interview with him that’s definitely work a look.
#13 | ELIJAH WOOD | 6’5 SF/PG | BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE
Elijah Wood is more of a returner than a newcomer, but a significant one nonetheless. Wood is a versatile playmaker who has the length and athleticism to impact the game on both ends of the court.
#50 | JURGIS AUGUNAS | 6’3 PG | ST. MARY’S RYKEN
We have yet to see Lithuania native Jurgis Augunas in live action, but during our trip to Ryken open gym he stood out as a skilled ball handler and playmaker with good size for his position. Augunas will be thrown into the fire this year in a rigorous conference, so we’ll see just how good he can be right off the bat.
#57 | WILSON RAMABU | 6’6 SF/PF | BISHOP WALSH
There is a lot to like when you consider that Wilson Ramabu is legitimately 6’6 with good length and explosive athleticism. He’s still very raw in terms of skill and dependability, but that should come with more reps and experience.
#62 | TERRANCE BUTLER JR. | 6’5 SF | OVERLEA
Terrance Butler Jr. was a physically imposing presence at Hoop Group’s Baltimore Exposure Tour. Check out this recent report that takes a closer look at his overall game.
