Top 5 College Ready Bodies: Class of 2020
The jump from high school ball to college is a big leap for players. The game is much faster and the players are much stronger. Getting your body right and being in the best physical shape you can be in will surely help the transition for high school players into the college game. Here are the most college ready bodies in the Class of 2020:
Kyree Walker (Hillcrest Prep 2020):
Do I really need to even speak to this one? If you’ve seen Walker play, you can surely see why he is on this list. He has an NBA body as a Junior in HS, that’s impressive and does not come around every year. Extremely strong, extremely athletic, extremely fast. There’s a reason he is one of the most sought after players in the country, especially after re-opening his recruitment from ASU.
Dalen Terry (Hillcrest Prep 2020):
Dalen will make an immediate impact in college due to his length and height. He has incredibly tall for a point guard and has very long arms. His length gives him the edge when trying to finish around the basket and on defense. Terry is also very fast and has great acceleration.
Jeron Artest (Hillcrest Prep 2020):
Jeron has to be one of the strongest guards in the entire state. Some of the best plays I’ve seen him make were due to his incredible strength. Mix his strength with his great leaping ability and you have yourself a guard who will contribute a ton on the boards and when meeting defenders are the rim, especially because Jeron is not afraid of any one.
Dre Henry (Mountain Pointe 2020):
Dre makes this list because of the great strides he’s taken and the commitment he has put into his body. The first time I saw Henry play he looked overweight and slow and I was greatly surprised by the second time I saw him play and then the third and so on. Every time I have seen this kid play, he looks like he has gotten into better shape and developed athletically. I am very proud of the strides he has taken and very excited to see what he looks like come high school graduation.
Evan Nelson (Salpointe 2020):
While Nelson is undersized, he has the athleticism to make an impact. He is extremely quick and has very underrated jumping ability. Due to these traits, he is a headache on defense. He is a steal waiting to happen and is able to contribute on the boards and when blocking shots due to his incredible leaping ability.
