Three games to watch during Thursday’s WIAA boy’s basketball action…

Superior (0-1) at Eau Claire North (1-0)

Dalton Banks scored 26 points to lead Eau Claire North in a 75-65 win over Wisconsin Rapids to open the season. Superior dropped a hard-fought decision to Eau Claire Memorial in overtime and are led by senior Mason Ackley (22.0 ppg).

Wild Rose (3-0) at Adams-Friendship (1-1)

This should be a good road test for undefeated Wild Rose. The Wildcats are getting 23.0 ppg from Caleb Williams and already have a big win under their belt against Wauzeka-Steuben.

Barneveld (0-2) at Darlington (1-0)

Barneveld is off to a disappointing start. The Eagles have lost two games, both by double digits.  Malcolm Reed (12.0 ppg) and company have a chance to turn things around  against a Darlington squad that should be a factor in Division 4. The Redbirds are led by exciting sophomore Carter Lancaster (18.0 ppg).

Others:  East Troy at McFarland, Hustisford at Rio,  Middleton at Madison East, , Stanley-Boyd at McDonnell Central, Milwaukee Bay View vs. Brookfield Academy (Terry Porter Classic)
