Thanksgiving Hoopfest Recaps (Part VI)
The 10th Annual Thanksgiving Hoopfest hosted by Glenn Smith was held this weekend at Duncanville High School. The two-day event truly brought out the best of the best and contributor Brandon Jenkins was on bored to catch it all. He will recapping the best players on each team. This article highlights: Duncanville and Denton Guyer.
Duncanville
Jahmi’us Ramsey / 6’4″/ SG / Duncanville / 2019
Jahmi’us has been on a mission since the start of the season. He has been shooting the ball well from deep and doing it at the right time. The senior guard has put his name in serious contention for a McDonald’s All-American Game spot with his recent scoring performances.

Ja’Bryant Hill / 5’7″/ PG / Duncanville / 2020
Hidden Gem
J.B. has earned the starting point guard job at Duncanville and is currently excelling. The small guard takes care of the ball and will make things happen offensively when given the chance. He gets into the paint and is capable of hitting open spot-up jumpers from out to 20 feet.

Denton Guyer
De’Vion Harmon / 6’1″/ PG / Denton Guyer / 2019
After coming off a 29-point performance vs. New York Monsignor Scanlan, De’Vion came to the Hoopfest with the same mindset to score and facilitate. He started off the game forcing bad attempts from deep, but then got back to his normal way of attacking the basket and letting the game come to him from long range. The Oklahoma signee has been on a scoring tear this year and will be looked upon as the go-to guy to make the right plays and lead pre-season favorite Wildcats to San Antonio.
Final Stats vs. Sunrise Christian: 25 points, two rebounds, and four assists
Jalen Wilson / 6’8″/ SF / Denton Guyer / 2019
Jalen looked good from mid-range and rebounded at a high level on Saturday night. He hit perimeter two-point jumpers off the dribble and gained confidence each time he seen one fall. The senior wing will be a perfect fit for John Beilein at Michigan next fall playing on the wing or as a mismatch hybrid four.
Final Stats vs. Sunrise Christian: 16 points, nine rebounds, and one block.
