Team Preview: The Potter’s House
THE POTTER’S HOUSE
The Potter’s House is based out of Wyoming, Michigan. One of the best parts of the high school basketball season is when an small school team makes a deep run come state tournament time. The Pumas lost to Howardsvile Christian last year in the Class D regional semi-finals. The Potter’s House will be moving up a class to a Class C school this year.
The Pumas are coached by Kevin Kuipers who got them going last year. Last season marked the end of the high school careers for five seniors including All-Conference/Honorable Mention All-State guard Josh Cassell, the team’s leading scorer.
Undefeated in the Alliance League last year and finishing 17-6, the Pumas will need their returning players to continue playing unselfishly and support each other on both ends of the court. They have a solid nucleus to build around and are poised to build on last year’s success. The Potter’s House is one team to keep an eye on come March.
