There was a great private school matchup that took place in Carrollton today as the #9 ranked TAPPS 5A Prince of Peace Eagles took on the Eagles of Legacy Christian who are ranked third in the same class. In the first quarter, it was all Prince of Peace as they started out hot behind the great shooting of unsigned senior Ben Castro. Prince of Peace ended the quarter up ten (19-9). However, Legacy Christian steamed its way back and made it a one-point game going into the half (31-30). The third quarter is when the best prospect on the floor came alive. Jonathan Alexandre heated up from deep, knocking down four long balls that helped give Legacy Christian a double-digit cushion at the end of the quarter. Finally, in the last quarter, Prince of Peace came back to tie the game, but fatigue played a big factor due to nonexistent bench play. Legacy Christian converted at the foul line and finished the game with a ten-point victory. Here are the players who stood out:

Jonathan Alexandre / 6’5″/ SF / Frisco Legacy Christian / 2020
Alexandre started off slow in the first half, but displayed a smooth and sweet stroke from deep in the third quarter. He can be streaky from three, but he showed that he can heat up and be a catch and shoot threat as well. Alexandre possesses long arms to be active defensively and on the glass. He finished with a team-high 18 points in the win.
Aren Terrien / 6’1″/ PG / Frisco Legacy Christian/ 2020 ⭐HIDDEN GEM⭐
Terrien is a new addition to this Legacy Christian squad after transferring from Prestonwood Christian. He is a solid strong lead guard who takes good care of the rock. Terrien did a great job of taking angles to get by defenders when attacking the paint. He consistently finished with a soft touch around the rim when attacking. Terrien also made the right decisions with the basketball and set up his teammates for good looks. The junior guard finished with 14 points for the Eagles.
Josh Tolbert / 5’10″/ PG / Prince of Peace / 2019
The Eagles’ returning leading scorer got to the rim whenever he wanted to Tuesday night. He was aggressive and created for himself and others through his penetration. Tolbert also stepped out and hit two spot-up jumpers off the catch from deep. The unsigned senior can definitely help a program out with his two-way ability, He finished with 20 points in the loss.
Ben Castro / 6’1″/ SG / Prince of Peace / 2019 ⭐HIDDEN GEM⭐
Castro shot the leather off the ball Tuesday night. The unsigned senior was 3-of-3 from long range in the first quarter and finished the game with seven threes on the night. Castro is unfazed by good closeouts and will let it fly off the catch at any time. He is a streaky shooter with a strong body who ignites a crown when he heats up from deep. Castro finished with a game high 23 points in the competitive matchup.
