Sahvir Wheeler is Finally an Aggie
After committing during the summer going into his sophomore year, Sahvir Wheeler has finally made it officially official by signing his letter of intent with the Aggies of Texas A&M.
Sahvir is a four-star guard who is arguably the best passer in the country. He is a small dynamic playmaking guard who is always looking to make something happen on the offensive end and has a high basketball I.Q. Sahvir maybe the fastest guard in the country and will use that speed when pushing the ball and leading the break in the SEC. Defensively, Sahvir is a pest who will be a constant threat to pick opposing guards’ pockets.
“The close proximity played a big role in my decision. My parents wanted me to stay close to home,” Wheeler told Friday Night Glory. “The athletic program is on the uprise. The SEC is a great conference that I feel I can really strive in. The education and Aggie networking that provides the resources and potentially built relationships is one of a kind. Also, you cannot forget the family-like atmosphere.”
Final Thoughts
Coming off a stellar spring/summer, look for Sahvir to dominate his senior campaign and be one of the top players in the SPC. Sahvir will be a great addition to Texas A&M and definitely a fan favorite due to his size and true passion for the game. Head Coach Billy Kennedy will rely on him to take care of the ball, initiate the offense, and compete on both ends at a high level for the next four years. It will be fun to see Sahvir run the show in College Station.
