Region 7-AA  Underclassmen will be a key factor for some programs this season in the Pee Dee. Lets take a look right here at these prospects on your source for high school basketball coverage in South Carolina.

Tyjhai Calvin (2020) – East Clarendon HS (Turbeville)  (pictured on front)

Calvin 5’11 is built like a tank in the back court for the Wolverines. Calvin really lets the game come to him while on the floor and uses his body well to fight off defenders. Calvin averaged 12 ppg last season for the Wolverines.

Jalen Bryant

Jalen Bryant (2020) – East Clarendon HS (Turbeville)

Bryant a undersized guard prefers to attack the basket. Bryant is in the backcourt for the Wolverines. Bryant averaged 7.7 ppg last season.

Marquis Pearson (2020) – East Clarendon HS (Turbeville)

Pearson 6’3 wing has a great length and wingspan. Pearson will look to contribute more this season for the wolverines.

Isaiah Brown

Isaiah Brown (2020) – Johnsonville HS

Brown 6’3 left-handed forward is very quick off the floor. Brown uses a old school set shot to knockdown the 3 ball. Brown finished the season at 7.9 ppg and 5.3 rebounds last year.

Sammy Pressley

Sammy Pressley (2020) – Mullins HS

Pressley is currently playing on the gridiron for the Auctioneers. Pressley 6’4 has 13 receptions – 267 yards this season heading into the 2nd Round of the SCHSL Playoffs. Pressley is a inside-out on the hardwood as a tweener 4/3 or 3/4 type.

CJ Gilchrist

Quez Lewis

Quez Lewis (2021) – Johnsonville HS

Lewis 5’6 saw plenty of minutes as a freshman for the Flashes last season. Lewis will need to be more selective on his passing skills this season. Lewis has a nice pull-up jumper. Lewis averaged 5.4 ppg last season as a freshman for Head Coach Harris Avant.

Rashon Casey (2022) – Kingstree HS

Casey 6’4 is a player to keep a eye on down the road for the Jaguars. Casey should look to add some minutes this season as a freshman.
