Region 6-A Players to Watch
Region 6-A is another small school conference with just 5 schools. Hemingway HS is the cream of the crop here for sure. The Tigers will look to 3-peat this coming season for a state championship. Lets take a look at a few players in this region right here on your source for basketball recruiting news in the Palmetto State.
Darius Taylor (2019) – Hemingway HS (pictured on front)
Taylor a point guard will go down as one of the best athletes and most productive in a 4 year career at Hemingway HS. Taylor has won back to back basketball state championships for the Tigers. Taylor comes into the season with 896 career points and 429 assists. Taylor has just 4 interceptions this year after recording 11 interceptions last season. .
Darius “JuJu” Williams (2019) – Hemingway HS
Williams is a beast inside the paint for the Tigers. Williams will play football next season at East Carolina University. Williams a left-handed undersized post is a brute in the paint that thrives on contact. Williams has 6 sacks this season and 17 Tackles for Loss.
Aaron Parker (2020) – Hemingway HS
Parker a combo guard averaged 8 ppg last season for the (20-6) Tigers. Parker has the ability o create his own shot or find his teammates in transition. Parker plays the game at a good pace and very unselfish style of play.
Dashaquavius Cooper (2020) – Hemingway HS
Cooper is back after playing at Johnsonville HS in the past. Cooper 6’4 plays inside the paint and does his best work around the basket.
Robert Fuller (2020) – Lake View HS
Fuller we first saw a few summers back with a local Grassroots team. Fuller 6’6 didn’t play last season at Lake View HS but according to sources is back in school. Prep Hoops will have to see if this post player suits up for the Wild Gators this coming season.
DJ Bethea (2022) – Lake View HS
Bethea 6’0 is a freshman for the Wild Gators. Lake View HS is known for legendary football and baseball programs. Bethea could be thrown into the mix right away this season of course after the football season is over

Hemingway HS – The Tigers will run away with the Region title and look to 3-peat this coming March in Sumter.
Creek Bridge HS – Who will replace TJ Fladger ?? The Warriors have a chance to fight for 2nd place here
Lake View HS – Hoop season never starts until the Wild Gators finish football season.
Green Sea-Floyds HS – The Trojans need to replace Shaquille Johnson 21.3 ppg and 10.3 rebounds last year.
Coastal Leadership Academy – The Archers will be a 1st year program under Head Coach Patrick Lewis.
