Region 3-AAAA Players to Watch (2019)
College coaches will find plenty of seniors to watch in Region 3-AAAA this season. Lets take a look at some of the top players in the region this coming season. Malcolm Wilson – Ridge View HS (pictured on front)
Wilson 6’11 is headed to play at Georgetown next season. Wilson is ranked #2 in the Prep Hoops 2019 Palmetto State Class.
Crosby Harris-James – Ridge View HS
Harris-James is the floor general who averaged over 17 ppg last season for the Class 4-A State Champions. South Carolina State, Clayton State (GA) (NCAA D2), Francis Marion (SC) (NCAA D2), and Limestone (SC) (NCAA D2) have all expressed interest in him.
Walyn Napper – Ridge View HS
Napper 6’3 leads the Midlands in receiving. Napper has caught 62 passes for 1,108 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Napper will play in a few senior bowl games after the football season.
JaVon Anderson – Ridge View HS
Anderson a shooting guard is having a big season on the football field for the playoff bound Blazers. Anderson 6’1 has thrown for (122-216) 2,015 yards and 23 touchdowns this season.
Joseph McKenny – Ridge View HS
McKenny a defensive specialist for the Blazers will play at Southern Wesleyan (SC) (NCAA D2) next season.
Russell Jones – Westwood HS
Jones a jet quick point guard will play in the Big South Conference at Winthrop University next season.
Ta’jay Dunlap – Westwood HS
Dunlap a backcourt mate with Jones will play at Southern Wesleyan University (SC) (NCAA D2) next season.
Kendall Wormack – Westwood HS
Wormack could be the unsung man this season for the Redhawks and Head coach Ty Baumgardner. Wormack 6’5 will have plenty of great guard play surrounding him on the floor.
Norman Nowell – Richland Northeast HS
Nowell is back for his senior season and has a new head coach JoJo English. English is a former NBA player and Sumter HS Head Coach. Nowell played this summer with 3 ball Elite on the Grassroots Circuit. Nowell is a sharp shooting guard who will provide leadership for some of the underclassmen on the roster.
Reggie Harris Jr. – South Pointe HS
Harris Jr. 6’7 left-handed post player plays with his back to the basket. Harris Jr. has a nice touch around the cup and can occasionally step-out on the perimeter for a look.
Prep Hoops Projections
Ridge View HS – The Blazers have everyone back and have added talent to the roster this season. Look for REPEAT.
Westwood HS – The Redhawks will be lead by solid guard play all season long.
Richland Northeast HS – Head coach JoJo English will install a winning attitude here in due time for the Cavaliers.
Lancaster HS – The Bruins are a young squad who could sneak up on someone on any given night.
South Pointe HS – The Stallions will look to contend for a playoff spot.
York Comprehensive HS – The Cougars finished in 3rd place last season. Justin Zaleski takes over the reins this season.
