“This summer was really a huge turn around for me. College coaches saw more of a consistent play from me which is why I received many calls from high caliber schools.” Jackson showed that he can command the game from the point guard position on both ends of the floor. He uses his feet extremely well to cut off driving lanes and continuously proved that he can guard quick guards.
“Due to our new style of play, we (Fishers) had a lot of success this summer. More up and down by pushing the ball and defending.”
When it comes to his focus in his workouts as the season gets started, he is focusing more on in game situations. “Looking to find my sweet spots and different finishes at the rim. I constantly work on my shot and handles also.”

Fishers most recently matched up with Ben Davis and Jackson was ready for the challenge. He paced the Tigers with 22 points against a stout Giants defense. Willie is looking to continue his tough play from the summer that brought on interest of some high-academic schools.
The University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University, Boston University, Tennessee State University, the University of Indianapolis, and Saginaw Valley State University showed interest throughout the summer. Willie Jackson recently landed offers from Rose Hulman University and Goshen College. He is a high-academic student in the classroom and a tough competitor on the court.
“This year, success will solely be built around consistent, high level of play.” Willie Jackson is looking to lead this veteran team to a solid, rebound season after finishing 12-12 last year.
Willie is looking for a program that fits his style of play and competes on both ends of the floor. He’s looking for a place that likes his game and uses him as the type of player that he is. Look for Willie Jackson to continue building on the summer he had with Team Teague as this high school season gets underway. He is just starting to show his true potential as a past-first, offensive minded point guard who likes to get after it on the defensive end.
