Recruiting Report: Solomon Bach (2019)
The Watertown Arrows will return a lot of players from last year’s team, led by senior Solomon Bach. The versatile forward has blossomed into a nice collegiate prospect over the past year and a half. As the high school season gets kicked off next week, Bach is excited for the opportunity to play with his teammates this year.
The Player:
Bach is a 6’5” versatile player who can really shoot it from he outside and is sneaky athletic. He has spent a lot of time in the weight room over the past year to improve his strength and athleticism.
“I would say I am a shooting forward who likes to pull from the outside, but the post can be a good option for me too,” Bach said about himself. “I will play anywhere from the 2 to the 5 this year and look to score off the dribble and off the pass. My goal is to be a player that my teammates can count on to make shots and guard the opposing team’s best player.”
HS Team:
Bach and his group of high school teammates look forward to the challenge of making it to the state AA tournament this year.
“I am confident in our ability to make it to the state tournament. I don’t see why we can’t one of the better teams in the state.”
Led by a new head coach, Zach Wevik, Bach knows that the team is in good hands. He said that Coach Wevik is a great addition to the program and will be great for this year’s team and future teams to come after.
“I believe that we have a great group of guys and will play well together. We will be a quick, hard to guard team that has talent all over the floor. I know it will take a lot of hard work to reach our goals but we can do it.”
Summer AAU:
This past summer, you may have seen Bach playing for the South Dakota Venom out of Tea, SD. During the summer season, he focused on becoming more mentally in-tune with the game and the mental approach on both ends of the ball.
“This summer was great. We all loved playing together and clicked right away. Coach Sterns and Coach Lien did a great job and I had a wonderful experience.”
Collegiate Prospect:
“Right now I have been talking with Mount Marty College and Northwestern (MN). I plan to continue to play in college and I am excited for that opportunity wherever I end up.”
His versatility and size make him an intriguing prospect for sure. He did not mention whether he was close to a decision, however he seems to have it narrowed down.
