Recruiting Report: Jaden Lindsey (2019)
An emerging talent down low is Jaden Lindsey.
The 2019 McArthur forward is headed into his senior season. At 6’8″, 200 lbs., Lindsey has no offers yet but has drawn interest from FAMU, FGCU, West Virginia, FIU and Dean.
As a junior, Lindsey played an integral part in the Mustangs 15-15 season which ended in the Class 8A region final to eventual state champion Blanche Ely.
“My 11th grade year was alright in terms of the season,” Lindsey told Prep Hoops. “We won another district title and I played well in regionals.”
He said his biggest improvements last season were his confidence and defense.
“What I’m excited about most for my senior year is how far we are going to go,” he said. “This is by far some of the most talented kids I’ve played with at McArthur since I’ve arrived at the school.”
This summer, Lindsey played with Showtime Ballers prior to suffering an injury that kept him out much of the July live period.
He pointed to his on-ball and off-ball defense and defensive IQ as his biggest strengths. Lindsey says he wants to improve his confidence with putting the ball on the floor and not just settling for a mid-range jumper.
My summer didn’t go so well with Showtime ballers as I suffered an injury that lasted pretty much the entire live period and I didn’t play that much
Look for Lindsey to have a breakout senior season. He’s healthy now and is a tough minded big man who is expanding his game. Down in Miami, he’s certainly poised to be a top guy.
