Prospect Spotlight: Nahiem Alleyne (2020)
Already with two offers in tow, 6-foot-3 Mountain View guard Nahiem Alleyne is an established top prospect in Georgia’s Class of 2020.
A two-way player who is especially aggressive on the defensive end, Alleyne defined his strengths to Prep Hoops Georgia, and what it is that separates him from his peers.
“I can score at all three levels and I really like to play defense. I’m kind of like that guy who’s a dog on defense,” said Alleyne. “And what separates me from other people is I’ve got heart, and some people don’t really have that nowadays.”
The big and athletic guard as able to sharpen his skill-set considerably while playing on the EYBL with Georgia Stars 16U this past spring and summer.
“During the summer it was a good experience playing with those guys on the EYBL. I gained a lot of knowledge while playing with them,” said Alleyne. “I thought I played really good and I got a lot of college interest from that.”
With his junior season on the horizon, Alleyne has some high aspirations: and that’s to average a triple-double this winter for the Bears.
“My role is going to change a lot, I’m going to have to be more of a vocal leader and lead the guys,” he said. “And I’m going to have to push everybody and bring the group together.”
Currently, Alleyne sports offers from Hofstra and St. John’s; schools that he reports are most interested include Georgia, Auburn, Troy, Wofford, Ole Miss and Kansas State
“My goal is to get as many offers as I can, Division I, high-major, mid-major, it doesn’t really matter,” said Alleyne. “I just want to play ball.”
