Prospect Spotlight: Caron Forde (2020)
Caron Forde, a class of 2020 guard from Freedom-Woodbridge, stuffed the stat sheet in a season opening defeat at Osbourn. Forde will be a go-to guy for the Eagles this year. He discussed his role and overall game among other topics during a recent interview with Prep Hoops.
PH: How would you evaluate the team performance in your first game?
CF: “I think I had a 7 because we lost. I don’t really care about my stats. I just want to win games.”
PH: For those who haven’t seen you play, how would you describe your game?
CF: “Tough, going to the rack. Score, get my teammates open. Defense.”
PH: You had 10 rebounds in this game. Is that something you try to do in most games?
CF: “Of course. I think I’m the top rebounder on the team. I think I have to do that to help my team win and keep our tempo high.”
PH: What is the most underrated part of your overall game?
CF: “I think my shooting. I still need to work on it more though. Shooting threes and mid range.”
PH: What else are you working on?
CF: “My bounce. I definitely want to get my bounce up. I can dunk, but I still want to work on that part of my game.”
PH: What are your goals?
CF: “To win. I’m a team player. That’s all I want to do is win.”
PH: What do you think you’ll need to do in order to rebound from this loss?
CF: “I think we all need to box out as a team and rebound better.”
