Prospect Spotlight: Anthony Reyes (2020)
Anthony Reyes, a class of 2020 guard from Washington & Lee, shot the lights out this past weekend at the South County Jamboree. Reyes is a talented scorer who has improved in various aspects of his overall game this summer. We had the opportunity to speak with him about those improvements among other topics.
PH: For those who haven’t seen you play, how would you describe your overall game?
AR: “I’m a shooter. I look to get people open.”
PH: What is the most improved part of your game?
AR: “My ball-handling definitely got better this year. I worked on it all summer. I think that’s the aspect of my game that I really improved on.”
PH: What has been the most underrated part of your game?
AR: “Looking to get people open. Just trying to find my teammates off the dribble, and try to help them score.”
PH: What are you working on?
AR: “Right now, just trying to get quicker off the dribble, shooting off the dribble, getting to the basket, and finishing.”
PH: What is your role going to be this year?
AR: “I’ll definitely have a bigger role. Chris Ozgo left, so I kind of have to fill his shoes a little bit more. Being a leader, and trying to lead the team. Doing more than just scoring, and getting people open too.”
PH: What are your short term goals?
AR: “Just to improve every day.”
PH: What do you think you can bring to a college program?
AR: “Definitely someone who can shoot the ball, get people open, and score.”
