On The Board: Known and Unknowns 2019 Vol. 1
Here is a list of senior prospects that are still on the board. Some are known and others may be unknown. This is a bi-monthly report of 10 senior prospects that have the capability of playing collegiate basketball. These ten prospects are from the Greater Houston area. All levels of these prospects vary from D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and JuCo.
Christyon Eugene 6’2 SG 2019 Spring High School. Played great all game long. Was super active on the floor against Klein Collins. Shot the ball well from deep. Played tough on ball defense. Rebounded well for a guard. Finished with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assist. He is averaging 19 points per game, 7 rebounds per game, and 4 assist per game. @_splashtown_
Keionte Cornelius 5’10 PG 2019 Spring High School. Shot the ball well from deep going 6/11 .545 . He knows how to create a shot for himself. He was able to penetrate the lane and finished at a high rate. Finished with 32 points and 5 assist. He is averaging 28 points per game and 5 assist per game. Shooting at 45% from behind the arc. @officialdcjr
Jacob Paske 6’0 SG 2019 Klein Collins High School. Has a strap on him. Jumps super high on his shot and hits with consistency. He shot 6/13 from behind the arc .461 . Averaging 23 points per game, and shooting at 48% from behind the arc on the season so far.
Marcus Hill 6’5 PF 2019 Klein Collins High School. Very active on the glass. Very fundamentally sound on rebounding. Wingspan allows him to affect shots defensively. Finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds(6-off,5-def). Is averaging 13 points per game and 12 rebounds per game.
Nick Gazelas 6’4 SG 2019 Atascocita High School. Shoots the ball very well at a high rate from deep. Great catch and shoot guard. Can create his own shot. Is quick enough to get in the lane for pull-ups. Plays hard nosed on ball defense. He’s active on defense. Has good lateral movement. He is averaging 18 points per game. Shooting 3PT at 52%. @NickkGee_
Obi Ezekwesili 6’6 SF 2019 Westside High School. Obi plays with a great motor. Active on the defensive end and the glass. He is very athletic with bounce that plays above the rim. He has a long wingspan and is agile. He is averaging 20.3 points per game. Grabbing 9.6 rebounds per game. Blocking 3.6 shots a game. @Obinna_12
Sydney Shipp 5’11 PG 2019 St. Pius X. Is averaging 17.2 points per game on the season. He shoots the ball well from deep. Has a quick first step, and can finish in the lane. Plays great on ball defense. Is averaging 3.7 steals per game. He gets his teammates involved also, averaging 4.7 assist per game. Has great stamina and plays with a good motor. @iamsydshipp
JoQuarious Valrie 6’5 SF 2019 Jack Yates High School. Super athletic and uber bouncy. Runs the floor like a gazelle. Plays the passing lanes well and great on ball defender. A corner specialist from behind the arc, shooting 45% from behind the arc. Active on the boards and alters shots. Quick reactions on defense and offensively around the rim on a second bounce. He is averaging 24 points per game. Bringing down 8 rebounds per game as well. @JoquariusValrie
Calvin Solomon 6’7 WF 2019 Klein Forest High School. Calvin is very long and lanky Forward that has a good handle on the ball. He has good floor awareness offensively and defensively. He is a rim protector averaging 4.4 blocks per game. He is also active on the boards where he’s averaging 12.8 rebounds per game. He plays above the rim and can stretch out the floor with good short corner package and corner 3PT area. He is averaging 15.8 points per game so far this young season. @livelikecalvin
Cameron Cohn 6’3 SG 2019 Second Baptist High School. Shots the deep ball at a very high rate, netting 45% of his deep balls. When he gets hot he is hard to contain, as he pulls from even deeper each time. Is able to create his own shot. Quick off of one dribble for pull-ups. He is averaging 24 points per game this season so far. @cameroncohn_
